While in high school David lettered in four sports and worked weekends as a bus boy in a hospital in Ann Arbor. After high school David worked for a year at Ford Motor Company on the assembly line. He soon realized he could not perform routine tasks for the rest of his working career. So he went to college and while in undergraduate school was drafted into the Army and served in Germany. After finishing undergraduate school and knowing he wanted to get a degree in physical therapy he went to Baylor University for his physical therapy education. After working as a therapist for a few years David went back to school to specialize in social policy planning. After working a few more years his career took him into a new developing state university (Florida International University) where he was an assistant dean and assistant professor. He soon decided he needed a doctorate in education if he was going to make education his career. David graduated with a speciality in curriculum development. A few years later his career pattern changed again and he found himself in the retirement and estate planning field. So he went back to college and obtained a speciality designation as a chartered retirement planning counselor(CRPC). All of these degrees were earned while David was working either full or part time.
