"With over 5 years teaching experience and 11 years playing the drums, I offer private lessons in the New York area to students of all ages and levels. Lessons can be offered in both my home studio or travelling can also be arranged.

While I have worked with adults and young students on the instrument, I especially enjoy working with K-12 students, and am currently obtaining my Masters Degree in the renown Music Education at Hunter College (which will lead to my K-12 teaching certification).

Topics I have covered: Music Theory/ Beginning Piano instruction/ and Extensive Drumset

instruction.

I shape lessons according to the students interest and level, with my

specialization being General Music Theory (K-12/High School/ College Level)

and Drumset Lessons (Beginner to Advanced students).

My rate is $60/ hour.

In my Music Lessons, I cover Reading Music, Song Analysis, Basic Composition, Solfege, etc. Anything that is seen in a High School/ College

level Music Class can be covered during the lessons.

What I would teach would be entirely built around the student.

My background: I have been playing for over 10 years and have extensive experience in a multitude of styles such as Rock, Pop, Funk, Jazz, etc.

I have accumulated extensive performance experiences, including recently playing the Chicago Music Magazine Industry Showcase , and venues of the caliber of Brooklyn Bowl (NY), the Studio at Webster Hall (NY), and the Bitter End (NY).

Among my honors and awards, I was fortunate to be crowned the champion of the Manhattan Store Round of the National 2011 "Sam Ash Best in Drums Competition," earning qualification to the Regional Finals (the semifinal portion of the tournament). Being one of the 42 regional finalists out of an initial list of over 700 registered competitors nationwide, I was fortunate to win over $1000 in prizes from Event sponsors Tama, Zoom, Evans, and Promark.

Aside from constant gigging with several acts in the New York area, I have also recently been involved in studio recording sessions for Royal Noise Productions, led by powerhouse production team Phil Schmoll (BMG Europe, Queen V) and Chris Altenhoff (Trans-Siberian Orchestra).

I have also studied privately with some of the best drummers in the industry, including players of the caliber of Shawn Pelton (Saturday Night Live), Will Calhoun (Living Colour), Adam Deitch (John Scofield, 50 Cent), and Bernard Purdie (Studio Legend)." less...
