"Hello, my name is Nima, and I am a graduate of Duke University with a degree in English and Global Cultural Studies and Theory (from the department founded by the late Fredric Jameson) and a minor in creative writing. I am currently applying to graduate programs to further explore my literary and philosophical interests.
During my undergraduate tenure, I had the privilege of working closely with poets such as Nathaniel Mackey and Joseph Donahue, who mentored me through my creative senior distinction project—an endeavor that earned the highest distinction award. My poetry has also been recognized with the William Styron Creative Writing Award and the American Poets Prize. Additionally, I have extensive experience translating works from Persian and Spanish into English.
As a first-generation immigrant, I lacked the resources to navigate the college application process effectively. Through trial and error, I learned to overcome these challenges and ultimately secured acceptances from Duke University and Emory University’s Oxford Scholars Program. Since then, I have leveraged my personal experience and passion for writing to help others refine how they present themselves to admissions committees. My clients have gained acceptance to prestigious institutions such as Vanderbilt University, The Juilliard School, Georgia Tech, Duke University School of Medicine, and UNC School of Medicine.
My approach centers on uncovering the human elements in each client’s story, ensuring that their applications don’t just stand out—they rise above a sea of applicants. Feel free to reach out to me with any question!" less...
