"Hi! I'm Carrie and I have a B.A. in English and a minor in Spanish from Vanderbilt University and the University of Texas at Austin. I spent 15+ years as a professional project and program manager overseeing branding and marketing, creating internal governance programs, starting PMOs, and managing large-scale SAAS and website programs for both advertising agencies and Fortune 500 companies such as Dell and AMD.

I am TEFL certified and I have spent the last five years traveling abroad and domestically, teaching ESL and ELA online to students all over the world. I also speak Spanish and am an avid photographer :) From being a project manager, a teacher, and a traveler, I have excelled at adapting to different learning styles, using real-world examples to help people understand complex and abstract concepts in an effortless way, as well as understanding different professional and cultural backgrounds. I find that understanding where you are coming from and asking the right questions makes our time together much more impactful and enjoyable!

I love teaching children ESL, and Spanish, and being an English Literature Major, I enjoy writing and am great at helping with homework assignments, writing papers (structure, flow, rationale, grammar, and analysis)

I excel at pronunciation, vocabulary definitions, explanations, reading aloud, and spelling. I have an extensive vocabulary myself and enjoy helping others expand theirs :)
