"Hello! I am Aysha! I am a QuestBridge Match Scholar attending Haverford College with a full scholarship and a recipient of the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine linkage program. I am passionate about cultures and how people behave, so I intend to major in anthropology and pursue a pre-med track. As a first-generation student, I always found navigating the college process difficult. This has allowed me to become detail-oriented and enthusiastic to accomplish tasks. Now, through tutoring, I hope to help high school students navigate the college application process.

I have spent the previous eight years tutoring independently with children in elementary school. I have successfully tutored in the past because I believe in understanding the student's needs first before creating lessons. I like to learn their interests and their learning styles to ensure they enjoy what they learn.

Since the college process is very intimidating, I invested significant time in properly planning a strong action plan. I have several checklists and calendars that will be available as resources for my students. I am a strong believer in constant reminders and words of encouragement since the college process can be daunting. With my preparations in addition to my essay-writing skills, I was able to earn a full ride to a selective college.
