"I am passionate about working with young people and helping them succeed. With a Bachelor’s degree in Adolescent to Young Adult (AYA) Social Studies Education and a college GPA of 3.59, I spent five years teaching middle school social studies before transitioning to special education. I currently teach 9th-grade direct English and serve as an inclusion teacher for math, science, and 11th-grade English. My experience allows me to support a wide range of learners, from students with special needs to those who are gifted.

Academically, I hold a Master’s in Special Education and passed the Ohio Assessments for Educators (OAEs) on my first attempt. I worked with United Way as an after-school tutor for two years, assisting students in all subjects. Additionally, I started study hall/academic help sessions at my previous school to provide extra academic support. I specialize in history, English, executive functioning skills, and test preparation.

I adapt my tutoring to each student’s learning style, using visual aids, interactive exercises, and targeted practice to build confidence and independence. My approach is patient and supportive, ensuring students fully understand key concepts.
