"Hi, there. I am a retired Science teacher with 35 years teaching experience. For 3 years, I have taught GED classes at a local community college. My philosophy for teaching the 4 GED courses is this: Yes, I am here to teach. More importantly, my job is to coach, motivate and ignite the spark that will keep you moving toward your goals. Whether you are choosing to do this for your own improvement, to make your family proud, to gain meaningful employment, or to enroll in a college or trade school, I will help you get there.

Studying for your GED takes commitment, both of spirit and time. If you are willing to put in the time, I will help you get that diploma. Don't let fear stop you. Stop telling yourself, "I can't do math." Don't let negative people around you talk you out of achieving this for yourself. Is it challenging? Yes. Yet that doesn't mean you can't do it! Think about this...when you were in high school, you had 4 major subjects: Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and Science. You were scheduled to take each class 5 days per week for about an hour. In the course of a school year, you would've put in 180 hours in Language Arts, 180 hours in Social Studies, 180 Hours in Math and 180 hours in Science! That's a lot to make up. I have a methodology that not only teaches you subject matter, but also tips and strategies to pass the tests.

After we begin studying, my students tell me often, "I'm starting to remember this." The old adage, "If you don't use it - you lose it" applies to your brain, too! Trust me. Once we get rolling, you will be surprised how much you remember. And as far as that fear of math goes? I'll have you liking math before we're done!
