"My professional journey has been different than most. Traditionally I have a Bachelor of Science degree in English Eduction with a Minor in Theater from Pennsylvania State University (PSU). I taught for 12 years in high school as a substitute, in elementary as a paraprofessional and classroom teacher ( 4th grade and math and reading intervention for K-5) and in middle school for 5 years where I currently teach. Also, I had an opportunity to teach Psychology, Speech, and English at a business school.

Less traditionally for 8 years, I worked for children's mental/behavioral health agencies in both their residential centers and in the community (schools and family homes) assisting students and their families with improving students' academic and social emotional development. Therefore, I was able to empower students challenged by mental health and learning disabilities by facilitating their development of grit and skills needed to work past those obstacles with effective individualized strategies. Consequently, I collaborated with a variety of professionals in that field along with parents and other family members.

Today I am known as the Dancing Singing English Language Arts 7th Grade teacher who is always running from one place to the next. I've studied classical opera/musical theater, dance and piano, as well as softball, basketball, golf, swimming, and volleyball. Likewise, I founded the Lehigh Valley PSU Performing Arts Club and trained with Chartreuse Talent Agency in film and television acting. Furthermore, my interest in health and wellness, led me to formally studying health coaching through International Institute of Nutrition based in New York.
