"I am a passionate molecular biologist/pharmacologist by training, with an extensive background in biochemical and genetic research. As a PhD scholar, my work has focused on cancer biology in mammalian systems and mechanisms of genomic DNA damage and cellular responses to correct such insults when they occur. To date, I have several peer-reviewed publications under my belt, some of which have been published in top-tier scientific journals and premiere publications for my specialty of interest.

Throughout my academic and professional career, I have garnered a deep love for communicating science and educating others on complex scientific topics. As a result, I now have a long-standing interest and hold a career as a medical writer in the continuing medical education field, where much of my work week is spent. Teaching is at the crux of my talents and passions, resulting in 5+ years of tutoring experience and ~10 years of teaching at the university level, from freshman students through senior-level classes. Currently, I teach 400-level molecular biology and a 200-level introductory toxicology course as an adjunct professor at my alma mater. Previous areas where I've tutored include:
