I am excited to share about my experience with you. My name is Troy P. I am currently a director of a university library. I graduated with a 4.0 gpa as an undergraduate and graduate student. I am a published academic author, and I am an instructor of an undergraduate course.

I have focused significantly on technology since becoming a librarian. I have 2 technology certificates from a local technical college, and I am currently pursuing a certification from Google.

I have experience teaching band, choir, music composition, music theory, percussion ensemble, and jazz band at the high school level. I have taught private lessons in performance since 2014.

For music lessons, I do not show up and "wing it." I prepare a lesson plan and, if I see a student multiple times, I will keep track of each lesson and note progress.

For lessons with children/teens, I value parent communication about progress, and the student's personal goals often guide the song selection.
