"I currently serve as a Special Education Classroom Assistant at Marshall Metro High School and as Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Westinghouse College Prep in Chicago Public Schools.
I have previously served in high schools and elementary schools within Chicago Public Schools as an ISBE-licensed Substitute Teacher, Special Education Classroom Assistant, Advanced Math Coordinator, Teaching Assistant, and Math Tutor.
I have also served as an Assistant Boys Basketball Coach with the Chicago Grinders Adidas AAU, Prosser Career Academy, and Chalmers Elementary.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
My academic strengths are in Math, Social Studies, and Reading. I have strong analytical, organizational, and reading comprehension skills. Math came fairly easily to me leading up to college as I completed and passed AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics during my senior year of high school. Social Studies was my favorite subject growing up, especially AP United States History. My favorite class in college was American Economic History at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The best subject on my ACT was the 34 I received in Reading. I read the news every day and enjoy reading non-fiction (especially biographies). My Economics degree directly relates to Math, Social Studies, and Reading.
I grew up playing basketball as a point guard nearly year-round. I attended university basketball camps (Kentucky, Michigan State, and Michigan) during the summer starting in middle school through my junior year of high school. While in middle school I played amongst high level competition through Detroit AAU. My strongest attributes are fundamentals and court awareness. A student of the game looking to pass it along.
Feel free to contact me any time of day. I will try to respond to inquiries as quickly as possible." less...
