"My name is Tammy! I received a Bachelors of Science in General Studies/Liberal Arts from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1995. In 2002, I went back to school and completed a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Belhaven University. Wanting to broaden my skill set, I completed an Education Specialist in Counseling from Mississippi College in 2011.

My experience as an educator has been mainly as a high school and middle school teacher, coach, and tutor. The majority of my career has been focused on teaching science classes such as biology, environmental science, physical science, chemistry, earth science, and astronomy, as well as, safety and drug education classes and life skills classes. But, I do have about seven years of college-level experience whereby I taught as an adjunct college professor with emphasis on adolescent psychology, general psychology and psychology and human development courses. While I thoroughly enjoy being an educator, I equally enjoy being a counselor and training consultant. And, in those roles, I provide numerous courses related to cultural diversity, personal development, discovering and transforming human potential in addition to many others such as behavior modification and workforce development.

No matter which of the roles I have played over the years my goal has always been to impact my students in such a way that empowered them and elevated their learning. I have done so by developing and presenting creative and engaging hands on and interactive lessons that captured my students attention and transformed their thinking so that they could be better prepared to meet their full potential.
