"As a tutor with a passion for mathematics and computer science, I strive to break down complex concepts into understandable pieces for my students. I hold a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from Michigan State University, where I conducted research in human-involved AI. Prior to my graduate studies, I obtained Bachelor's degrees in Pure Mathematics and CSE from the University of Toledo. I specialize primarily in Computer Science Theory, Mathematics, Analysis of Algorithms, Evolutionary Computation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
My journey with math began early on as I excelled in the subject from a young age. I went on to study advanced mathematics and computer science at the graduate level. Along the way, I discovered my love of teaching others and helping them grasp concepts that can seem daunting.
In my prior experience as a teaching assistant at Michigan State University, I taught undergraduate computer science and discrete mathematics courses for two years. I assisted students both in large lab settings and during office hours in one-on-one or small group meetings. I enjoyed tailoring my explanations to each student's needs, and finding creative ways to break down complex proofs and algorithms. My goal with every student is to instill confidence in their own abilities.
In addition to my teaching, I have three years of experience tutoring undergraduate math students in topics like real analysis and calculus. I aim to keep students engaged by encouraging questions and using relevant examples. I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I take the time to understand how each student best absorbs new information.
Whether you are looking for help in math, computer science, or graduate-level AI, I would be excited to work with you. My approach combines patience, enthusiasm, and depth of knowledge cultivated through my advanced studies. Please feel free to contact me if you think I may be a good fit as you tutor. I look forward to hearing from you!" less...
