"Monique is an educator, socio - political scientist, and artist. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia (BA, International Affairs, ‘10), and Texas A&M University (M. Ed., Curriculum and Instruction; Urban Education, ‘22). Her teaching career began in New Orleans, Louisiana - where she garnered the first passing AP Lit scores at her school for the first time in 10 years. Monique's intentional teaching pedagogy also garnered the first passing IB English exam scores.

She uses her background in English education, political science, and the arts to design and support her tutoring and teaching pedagogy which is based on her personal application of Culturally Relevant Pedagogy (Ladson - Billings, 1995), as well as learning and curricular standards of the International Baccalaureate (IB) English Programme and Advance Placement.
