"Hello all! My name is Aaron Wong, and I currently study Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. I have completed math up to Calculus III and have won several math awards for performances at various math competitions, including the American Math Competition (AMC), the American Invitational Math Examination (AIME), the Harvard MIT Math Tournament (HMMT), and the American Regional Math Competition (ARML).

I have tutored and taught several students in school and competition math in both one-on-one settings and in lectures as the president of my high school math team. I have helped my students achieve higher results in class by expanding their basic mathematical intuition and conceptual understanding. This has allowed my students to continue achieving high marks even without active tutoring. Several of my students have scored in the top 10% at the highly competitive HMMT and Carnegie Mellon Informatics and Mathematics Competition (CMIMC), and have qualified for the AIME, enabling my club to achieve my school's first American Math Competition Honor Roll in 10 years. Besides intuition, I can teach multiple-choice strategy and problem-solving processes.

Math is beautiful for its many patterns, its ability to explain the world, its many applications, and the satisfaction of solving a hard problem. My passion for math influences my teaching philosophy. I like to not only teach the surface level of a concept but also dive deep into its intricacies. You will have a better foundational understanding of why a certain math concept is solved or proved a certain way, providing you with a base understanding of future topics and the ability to subconsciously recognize solutions to new problems.
