With a passion in teaching, I entered Shanghai Teacher's Univ. from which I had a BA in math. I also had an MA in math from the Univ. of South Florida, and an MBA from NYU. The reason that I have a passion for teaching is that, not many jobs a person does, can directly impact another person's life, positively and profoundly!

I am qualified to teach Chinese and digital SAT math.

First, Chinese. I graduated from the best high schools in China, Shanghai High School. I won best writing awards when in high school and also published articles, poems in national level newspapers. I have 10 years of experience teaching US students Chinese. The key to succeed, from my experience, is to build a very solid foundation for Chinese vocabulary, including pronunciation/reading, writing, and speaking. Everything else is easier after this. Also important is to use good study materials that could ignite students' interest; this includes China’s history, tradition, literature and civilization. I will be a devoted Chinese teacher who will go above and beyond to ensure the students' learning interest, progress and a lot of fun!

Second, SAT math. My major in college and graduate school were both Math. Over the past 15 years, I have taught many students SAT math, including my two sons, who both got 800. I have more than 10 years of teaching experience. The best approach from my experience, is first to let students do 1 or 2 Bluebook exams. I have summarized about 20 types of the current digital SAT math questions and will use the careful diagnosis of the test results to let the students focus on these most relevant types that can improve their SAT math scores, in the most surgical and efficient way. I will teach students the new digital SAT features. I will do all my best to ensure the student first learn how to do the questions, then do well, and then do well and also fast.
