"I am a college graduate from a private school with a degree in Business. Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude, I worked for a large financial institution, the oil industry, and an accounting firm before deciding to go back to school to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering.

I graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State, The Behrend College in 2016. I enjoy tutoring all maths, especially Trigonometry, Linear Algebra and all levels of Calculus. I am currently employed as a Power Engineer for a large Steelmaker.

I am told I am a good tutor because I have often had the same troubles in particular areas of studies as many other students. I continued to read and ask questions to better understand these tough topics until they are clear to me. After this process, I can better explain to students the correct way to go about the problem, offer alternative approaches as well as shortcuts that will save time and headache.

I teach the way I learn which is what I call compounded repetition. We will do a particular problem several times. This assures that the student understands why we do what we do and not just come to a solution. From there, we will do a more challenging problem which takes elements from the previous one and again, work it out several times. We will then randomly select several of these questions to do again towards the end of the session. Your student will get to the point where they know the appropriate steps to take right away from just seeing the question because they have worked it out so many times. It is the technique I personally used.
