"I am an electrical engineer at an aerospace company. I have taught a number of Electrical Engineering courses as a teaching assistant. I like to explain complex and potentially confusing subject matter, in a clear and meaningful way. I enjoy seeing students understand concepts that they have struggled to understand when learning through other teachers, professors, or other mediums. Courses I have taught include electric circuits, electronics, and computer aided measurements. I have published a number of peer-reviewed research publications in the domain of electrical engineering, data science, and applied mathematics. I have two bachelor's degrees, one in mathematics and one in exercise science. I also have earned a MS degree in Electrical Engineering.
In my free time I like to build and fly drones, play recreational sports (hockey, softball, volleyball).
Bachelor's degree in mathematics. I am self taught and proficient in R computational language for data mining and data science applications. I have produced and published peer reviewed scientific research regarding applied mathematics and the use of R software language. I believe that when the purpose of mathematics is wholly understood, the fine details and subject matter can better be mastered.
Electrical engineering is an awesome subject and makes for an awesome career. Many student can fall through the cracks of traditional engineering education. My advanced degree and experience as a teaching assistant allows me to understand EE courses from both a student and a teaching perspective. This ultimately helps me to tutor those who wish to fundamentally understand electrical engineering.
I look forward to helping students understand complex concepts in a way that allows students to understand the application and meaning of the subject matter." less...
