"Hi, my name is Scott. I was trained in the Marines as an aircraft systems expert and served for five years as an aviation technician. After my service, I graduated CCBC with honors in both automotive and diesel technology. For five years I have taught 11 various technology courses covering such topics as mathematical formulas of electricity, Ohm's law, Watt's law, and Kirchoff's law. I also teach the chemistry of internal combustion engines and hydraulics. Additionally, I have worked in the industry as an aeronautical and automotive technician.
I love learning about how things work and enjoy sharing that passion with my students. After I briefly assess a student's current knowledge and their goals for our time together, I create a personalized curricula designed to fully engage them. Often, I make use of short videos, charts, snap circuits and computer aids.
I have an interest in modern science, art and history. I restore old cars and motorcycles in my spare time. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and two children. I look forward to introducing new students to engineering and electrical concepts." less...
