"I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Rhode Island with a double major in Elementary Education and Spanish. I am currently working on obtaining my Master's in Educational Technology from Western Connecticut State University. I am a New York State certified teacher in grades 1-6. I have worked with students of all ages, but I currently teach 6th grade English and Social Studies in the Bronx.

I specialize in tutoring elementary school students in all subjects. I also tutor middle school students in English and Social Studies. In addition, I tutor students of all levels in Spanish. I have experience tutoring students through the Huntington Learning Center. I will create lesson plans specific to the students' needs.

I am young, patient and dedicated to helping students succeed.

I will work with the student to expand vocabulary, improve grammar competence and pronunciation. I will also work with the student to gain the fluency needed to communicate confidently and effectively. I incorporate the use of technology and project-based learning to keep students motivated.

In addition to being an English teacher, I also write biographies for kids featured on the well-known website www.mrnussbaum.com. I will help the student with reading, fluency, comprehension, grammar and phonics. I will also work on writing, paragraph formation, essays, editing and revising.
