"Hello! My name is Amanda and I have been teaching in public elementary schools for 10 years now! I have tutored kids for 5 years after school and individually during the summer. I try to make sure we have fun but succeed in learning what we are there to practice.

I love tutoring because, unlike the classroom, I get to focus one on one with my student. I can differentiate for exactly what they need and get to have a more personal interaction. If we aren’t laughing and high fiving, then it’s not me in your session! ;)

I am certified for Elementary (K-6th). I have taught all subjects from Kinder to Third grade in a public school. I can teach almost any kind of math in a simple and concrete way to help the student understand the concepts needed. I am especially great with teaching reading and language arts, as that is my speciality and favorite subjects. I love reading and spelling, so I try to get my kids to learn to love them as well!

I have taught STEM club and have a passion for science experimentation. Science can be a truly fun subject and there are so many interesting things to learn!
