"I'm Simone! I am a current student at Mount Holyoke College and I am planning to major in neuroscience with a possible minor in biology. Throughout high school, I came to understand that I appreciated the most were not the ones I necessarily was the most interested in. Instead, the teachers made the difference between an enjoyable class and an unengaging class. I sometimes found the textbook definitions and explanations unsatisfactory so those instructors that were patient and fully explained concepts were my favorite ones. I like to start my tutoring sessions with a few minutes of casual conversation to get to know the student better which will make it more likely that they will feel comfortable asking questions. I can review homework with the student or if there is a topic the student would like to review, I will introduce it in a fun and engaging way.
