"Hi, I'm Haley! I have my B.S. in Ecology with two minors in Biology and Spanish. It was my role as an environmental educator teaching sixth grade students about freshwater ecology that made me realize that as wonderful as science is, my real passion lies in teaching! I currently work as an educator at a science center while I pursue my masters and certification in elementary education. I believe that the most effective educators tune into their students learning styles and are able to modify lesson plans accordingly. Every learner brings a unique set of abilities and preferences to the table that matter!

I have experience with preschool programs and after school programs for K-5. My masters and certification is in progress for general elementary education.

Teaching and science are my passion! I have found that my knowledge and excitement usually spreads to students. I currently work in a science center as an educator.

I believe in meeting students where they are with reading and vocabulary, then appropriately scaffolding lesson plans to bring them to or beyond their grade appropriate standards.

Homeschooling is a unique opportunity to expose children to learning tools and environments not typically present within a traditional school setting. I am a huge proponent of nature based homeschooling, which is where I can be of most help for homeschooled students.
