"I am a former teacher with a wide variety of specialized training. My post-graduate work was in reading. I wrote my thesis on writing and was quite successful in creating lifelong readers and writers. I tutored small groups of children after school. I am a trained Reading Recovery teacher which involves teaching reading and writing skills one on one. Also, I have successfully completed a one year training program focusing on teaching second language learners.

Additionally, fourteen years of teaching gives me a wide variety of experience in all elementary school subjects. I taught kindergarten, first, second, third, fifth, and sixth grades. I was firm and loving. I was quite successful with students others would consider challenging.
