"I am currently a Kindergarten teacher in the Richmond County School District. I have experience in Pre-K through 3rd grade and would love to help the children in my community. I was a nanny for 3 years and have also taught in the Dominican Republic and at a Montessori school.

I am certified in the state of North Carolina to teach K-6. I have experience in public schools with children from Pre-k-3rd grade.

I teach kindergarteners how to read, how to read fluently and comprehension strategies to better understand the text every day of the school year. My students learn the writing process and have opportunity to create narrative, opinion and informative writing. My students also understand how to edit and create a final draft.

I have taught kindergarten for a few years and have created phonics lessons for each decoding skill. (digraphs, blends, diphthongs, vowel teams, magic e, endings, etc.)

I teach all of my students 5 spelling words per week. They are provided ample strategies to store the spelling into their memories. These strategies included auditory, tactile, music, and visuals to memorize each spelling word. I also have experience with vocabulary.
