"My name is Rachael A. and I am 34 years old. I am from East Greenwich Rhode Island. With the current situation, it can be difficult to send your child to the traditional Elementary school, that is why I am here to help. I will work one-on-one with your child at your home. Also I will make sure your child is engaged, focused, and understands the material.

My education includes a B.S. degree in Elementary Education with high academic achievement, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL. Also, briefly studied abroad at the American College of Dublin, Ireland. In my past, I have tutored many Elementary School children. I've help many children with homework help.

Brief exposure and experience working with special reading programs (Orton-Gillingham) and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) students demonstrated ability and skill in establishing a creative classroom environment and implementing developmentally appropriate programs. Employed "hands-on" teaching methodology taught at Lynn University, as well as implementing "whole language" and integrated curriculum techniques.

I enjoy teaching reading, writing, science, social studies, and study skills. When it comes to tutoring in Science, I enjoy actually doing experiments so the he/she can see them first hand. Also I use many fun resources, such as videos, and games to reinforce the material. With permission with the parents, I may take the child outside to explore the world around them.

As for reading, I enjoy playing fun games, such as, BINGO, and Fish, to reinforce the new vocabulary words. When given a choose for a book, I will allow your child to pick the book, so that he/she will want to read it. Further more, I will make connections to events and things that the child can relate to.
