One of my favorite adventures was when I moved from the Southwest to New York City to be a nanny, and volunteered at an elementary school, where I got to interact with a variety of students from different cultures.
I create fun and exciting ways to learn math concepts and tricks such as two-digit by two-digit multiplication, where the zeroes remind the other numbers "don't forget about me!"
I am passionate about reading. I love everything from Roald Dahl and Beverly Clearly, to C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien
Teaching word sounds and word combinations is so fun! I like to create silly songs like mnemonic devices to encourage memory recovery.
I completed in the district Spelling Bee 3 years in a row and always placed in the top 10. I have a hard time with clever, but mispelled billboards. Word scrambles are really fun for me.
