"I am a dependable, disciplined, hard worker with versatile skills. I spent seven years in the United States Army following high school and continued on post-service to work as an independent contractor for the United States Navy. I attended college as an adult and graduated with two Associates degrees, in childhood education and communication. Language is my strength and my passion. I communicate well with children and bond very quickly. My hope and dream someday is to run a horse ranch, to provide equine therapy for autistic children.
I believe the purpose of schooling is to provide formal education, intelligence growth, skills, and trades. Reluctantly not all students are equal in the traditional sense of being able to learn in such a formalized (and sometimes socially distracting) setting. Some students need extra help. I can provide the student with the opportunity for growth in a personalized one-on-one setting. I believe that the motivation for this growth must come from both the student and the teacher. We as people learn in different ways and at different speeds. Some learn from watching, some from doing. I believe most students learn by example. As a tutor I provide a solid role model for your child to interact with. Students learn well when there is positive guidance and when they have someone to share their fears and accomplishments with.
