"I'm a published non-fiction writer and experienced writing and ESL teacher. I hold a B.A. degree in English/journalism and have earned a California Secondary Credential, and successfully completed the Teaching Knowledge Test for ESOL from the University of Cambridge, England. I am certified by the state of Connecticut in ESL instruction for adults and have taught both high school and adults for more than 14 years. My writing has been published locally in the New Haven Register and Shoreline Times, as well as nationally in other newspapers including the Los Angeles Times and Indianapolis Star. I've written and published a book about an unknown group of women Marines during World War II. I've edited and published some 20 curriculum guides for The New York Times where I was an educational services manager for five years. I'm also experienced in writing advertising and producing marketing materials for textbook publishers.
