"I have a strong foundation in education and support services, especially with students with diverse learning needs. I previously worked as a paraprofessional in an 18–21 transition program, where I supported young adults with autism and developmental disabilities in building life skills and academic readiness. In that role, I provided one-on-one and small-group support in classroom settings, helping students navigate their IEP goals and reinforcing concepts across subjects. I also worked as a substitute teacher and para for the North Brunswick Board of Education, gaining experience with various age groups and learning styles.

I serve as a peer mentor at a local community college, supporting students with disabilities in accessing and navigating their college coursework. I assist with executive functioning skills like time management, organization, and self-advocacy while helping students understand course material. This role has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt my approach to meet the individual needs of each learner. In May, I will complete my Master’s in Social Work, which has further deepened my understanding of learning differences, mental health, and how to support students holistically.
