My score on the math section of the SAT was 790. Last semester I got an A+ on the first class in the Berkeley Calculus series (Math 1A) and will finish the calculus series this spring.
Throughout high school, I have worked with kids. I have tutored ages 6-17 for the last four years. I believe every student can learn science and math, they may just need a different approach. When helping your child get up to speed for their class, I would base my teachings on their teacher's lesson plans, but might use some new techniques.
