"Hello! My name is Valerie and I'm an elementary education tutor specializing in reading. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. After teaching middle school students in small group reading instruction, ranging from ages 10-14, I began my graduate studies and received my Master's Degree as a Reading Specialist which helped me focus my teaching on small group and individualized reading instruction to struggling reading at the elementary level, teaching students ages 5-10.

My 12 years of teaching experience has given me a wide array of knowledge in many areas of education but my primary take-away is my ability to create and implement individualized lessons for the specific needs of my students all while keeping my students attention with my high energy personality.
