"My name is Joshua. My former students have called me Mr. Josh. I began my career in education after leaving the world of newspaper journalism years ago. I have taught for over 5 years total as a substitute, Ed Tech III, head teacher & assistant and BHP in both regular classroom settings and in special education. I am well versed in IEP structure and one on one Educational needs. I have also specialized in autistic children's education and ABA teaching methods.
I work with students on a one on one setting and in group settings. I always ensure my students fully comprehend all material before moving forward in any curriculum schedule. So no student will ever be left behind or rushed through any level of comprehension completion. I also work with students after school hours if they request and need more time on a particular subject matter than the classroom schedule. I am very patient, personable and creative in my approach to make learning fun and easy. I will never make a student feel pressured or overwhelmed. I work at the pace of each individual students learning level.
Since the covid shut down of schools I have been working online with my students accomplishing all their objectives. I enjoy and engage very well with my students especially online as well. It's very fun to get work done together on the computer.
