I am currently working as a K-12 substitute teacher while I begin the process of getting my teacher certification. I get lots of positive feedback from students. Almost every day a student tells me that I am the best substitute teacher they have ever had. I am confident that I can connect with your student and engage them in a learning style that resonates with them.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Hope College and a master's degree from Western Theological Seminary. I have over a decade of experience teaching in a wide variety of contexts. Here are some examples: I have designed and taught an undergraduate music theory course for dance students. I have tutored ESL students in academic writing at the graduate level. I have designed and taught three literature courses for high school students.

My tutoring method is highly adaptive. I respond to the work that a student brings and spin it into an interactive session. I think very quickly on my feet and walk students step by step through the process.
