"I think life on this planet is fascinating, and I have dedicated my professional career to studying and teaching its fundamental concepts to high school students for the last 14 years!

Since receiving my undergraduate degree in biology from Colorado College, I became a high school biology teacher, leading standard, honors, and AP biology classes. I have also taught physical science and served as the STEM Coordinator for the largest high school in my home state of Colorado. Though I received a Master's degree in school leadership, I am still teaching in the classroom, loving it, and began tutoring during the 2022/23 school year, with much success.

My students say I am extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate. I work hard to connect with them and make their science education feel personal. Most importantly, I make learning a complex subject approachable and relatable by breaking things down, finding connections between ideas, and linking learning to relevant or familiar experiences in their lives.

Aside from my teaching and tutoring work, I love my family, exploring the great outdoors, and playing various sports. Soccer is my game specifically, and I have been fortunate enough to be recognized as an NCAA Academic All-American athlete in my prime, followed by a truly rewarding and humbling career as a high school coach, coinciding with my role as a teacher.
