"Earning a BA degree in both mathematics and secondary education at Rider University, I was well prepared to take on the challenges of teaching at a local high school since 2001. Some of the classes I have taught are AP Calculus AB, Honors Trig / Precalculus, Algebra 2, Honors Geometry, Algebra 1, and Computer Science (JavaScript / Java). Beyond what I teach, my tutoring extends to standardized testing such as the ACT, PSAT, SAT, ASVAB and NJ, NY, and PA state testing.

In order to have successful sessions I follow a number of methods. I discuss goals and expectations of parents and students. Communication between parents and teachers is a focal point. I observe student problem-solving to identify areas of difficulty. I teach or reteach topics, clarify areas of uncertainty or confusion, assist with homework, and provide guidance on projects, papers, and presentations. I provide my email and phone number so tutees can send concerns between sessions. I strive to assist students that I tutor in exploring the topics that they cover quickly within the classroom setting. Mastery of topics via completing math tasks in a variety of methods from many viewpoints is extremely important.
