"Have you ever asked, "Why do I have to learn this?". As a student myself, I was constantly wondering why my teachers were droning on about seemingly irrelevant topics. However, when I got to college, I fell in love with Science. It was so immediately relevant and fascinating. At the University of Illinois, I studied Molecular and Cellular Biology and worked in a genetics lab. However, when I began teaching, I realized that my passion was making science relevant and exciting for others.

I have several years of middle and high school teaching experience. What I love about this work is witnessing student growth. In an engaging science class, students learn more about themselves and the natural world around them. In my class and in my tutoring sessions, my goal is not only for you to enjoy science, but for you to recognize that success in the subject is very possible. You might even have some fun along the way.
