"Skilled in math, science, and particularly problem solving. You guessed it, I'm an engineer. I specialize in teaching students the problem solving method which tends to be a major stumbling block in learning mathematics. Besides being a tutor I'm an engineer, I'm active in running and other outdoor actives and I like to read. I am able to tutor students in basic chemistry, algebra, calculus, and engineering related topics like statics, dynamics and mechanics of materials.
My experience as an engineer has given me real world experience and developing my communication skills with all types of people. One of the keys in developing an understanding is figuring out how each person learns and how to relate those ideas. From my experience as a math tutor in college is that each student has a stumbling block that they need resolved. My skill set is able to identify those deficiencies and relate these complex ideas to the student.
Practical tutoring experience: I've tutored college students in precalculus, algebra and calculus. I've also spent time mentoring high school students through volunteer activities in the community.
