"Hi, my name is Seth. I work as a General Engineer supporting Army aviation. I obtained a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2017. I completed a master's degree in Industrial Engineering with a concentration on Engineering Management from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2021.

I do STEM outreach at local middle schools, mentor high school students at the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering, and teach as an adjunct instructor at Athens State University. My focus is manufacturing technology and engineering, but my educational background covers multiple science and mathematics disciplines.

From a young age, I have enjoyed problem-solving and understanding how things work. I believe that engineering, as well as the other Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) disciplines, is about problem-solving at its core. I frequently tell students that their diploma in a STEM major is a piece of paper that tells employers, “I know how to solve problems.” Each class, in its own way, is another opportunity to prove that the student knows how to solve problems, and throughout an education in engineering, we learn many different approaches to troubleshooting and finding solutions." less...
