"Hi, I’m Sam! I’m a mechanical engineer currently working in the medical device space with a passion for helping students develop an appreciation for math and science. I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Minor in Economics from Northwestern University. I graduated from high school with an International Baccalaureate diploma and multiple AP credits and scored 33/36 on the ACT and 1390/1600 on the SAT. Throughout my years in school and my career I have always pursued opportunities to teach others through tutoring and coaching. I enjoy guiding others through applying fundamental principles that come together in complex problems to reach the solution.
I firmly believe that mathematics is not an exclusive domain reserved for the "naturally gifted." It's a language that anyone can master with the right guidance and approach. My teaching philosophy revolves around building a solid foundation of core concepts, supplemented by practical examples and real-world applications. Through tailored lessons and personalized attention, I strive to equip my students with the confidence and skills needed to tackle even the most daunting mathematical challenges.
Whether you're tackling math and science challenges at any level, preparing for the SAT, ACT, or APs, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. My flexible schedule allows for online or in-home tutoring sessions. I can also meet at nearby public libraries in the South Orange County area. I'm readily available and committed to responding promptly. Feel free to reach out for more information or to schedule your next lesson with me. Your success is my ultimate priority." less...
