"I graduated about seven years ago with a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering after completing a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Chinese Language and Culture. I focus on Computer Science topics as my specialization was signal processing using various languages and data analytics processes. I have been tutoring since high school, in a variety of topics from English to STEM subjects. I primarily focus on engineering, computer science, mathematics, and chemistry. I have taught online as well as in person, always in a one-on-one setting so students get the attention they need. I enjoy breaking down the problems and meeting the student where they are in their understanding to find the best way to communicate a topic. I structure each lesson differently depending on the student's needs and goals.
I have been working professionally as an electrical engineer in different industries. Including manufacturing and defense. Troubleshooting existing electrical systems and creating new systems.
Computer Science topics include HTML/CSS, Java, JavaScript, Python, MATLAB, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and other frameworks and tools. The focus with math and computer science topics is a holistic approach, giving the student the tools to tackle any type of problem sets as well as projects that they need to work on. Starting with the fundamentals is so important, so the student has the tools and understanding to expand on their knowledge as they continue learning.
I am free in the mornings and evenings most days and some afternoons, and aim to work with the student and parents as much as possible. Focusing initially on what the goals are and how best to help. Once we have clear objectives we can begin breaking the goals into smaller goals and milestones which helps to improve retention of the material and positive outcomes. I look forward to hearing from you." less...
