A little about me: I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Astronomy, and I recently completed my Master's degree in Design Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV).
During my undergraduate years, I had the privilege of working for NASA and MIT on the Mars Perseverance Rover project, where I created computational fluid dynamics and thermal models for the Mars Oxygen ISRU Experiment. It was an incredible experience applying engineering concepts to real-world challenges, and I even published a conference paper based on my work! Additionally, I worked as an employee trainer for a 3D printing laboratory and was the head tutor for the Astronomy department, helping college students with introductory astrophysics both in-person and online.
In total, I've been teaching STEM subjects to high school and college students for over three years. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex material into small, digestible steps, ensuring that students understand the why behind the how. I personally struggled with memorizing long equations growing up, so I developed a method of learning that starts from basic principles and builds towards the solution. This method allows students to gain a deeper understanding of the material, and that’s what I aim to share with my students." less...
