"I'm Cassie! I received an associate's degree from Scottsdale Community College in 2007 and then I graduated from University of Phoenix in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Health Administration. I have experienced both online and in person learning, which helps me work in either environment and tailor my tutoring approach. My first goal when beginning to work someone is to determine their learning style as well as their primary area of focus or concern. I use this to create a plan and outline specific to them and their needs. I try to be as clear and concise with the material while also making it interactive and fun. Allowing time to demonstrate knowledge or skill retention is helpful. I provide times for checkpoints so that I can address any questions and can ensure that something is understood before moving forward. If I the approach isn't working, I adjust as needed. My goal is to help.

While I am fairly new to tutoring in an educational aspect, I have over 10 years of experience as a trainer and mentor in the finance industry that I have been working in. I have helped create and develop trainings various people, teams and even departments. I have trained and mentored groups as small as one person to a team of over 15. My recent experience has been delivering training and providing mentoring in an online/virtual setting. I also have over 12 years of experience working with young children aged 1-5 in a preschool type setting or environment. I am comfortable working with groups or individuals in many different subjects. I have a passion for English subjects and love talking about homophones (they're, there and their, etc.) but I also enjoy math, social studies, science, history others such as criminal justice, anthropology and psychology.
