"I am currently a Master's student at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena studying for a Master's of the Arts in Theology. I obtained my Bachelor's degree (theology) from Colorado Christian University. During my time at university I've been required to write short and concise opinion pieces, research assignments ranging in length from 3-15 pages in length and digest extremely technical material, boiling it down into a response often no longer than 400 words. In most cases I've done very well.

During my tenure of learning (read: also outside of academic life) I've come to the conclusion that the best way to begin learning a new subject is inductively. It is better to have the student realize the concept for his or herself, with as much guidance as necessary, rather having a specific formula taught or memorizing specific rules in specific cases. In circumstances where rote memorization is necessary it is important to keep the tasks brief and to build on the material inductively.

I offer English and composition based tutoring up to college level. Maths or sciences are accepted or rejected based on grade level or concept." less...
