"I have 25 years of teaching and tutoring experience ranging from Kindergarten to community college level and encompassing individual, small group, and large group classes both in person and online. I assess students to determine where they are as well as locating areas for improvement and begin with those points but also try to be student directed meaning students can tell me ways they learn well and are free to comment on methods I use. If they prefer more "hands on" learning with activities, games, and movement, we will do those type of learning activities. If students prefer more visual and audio methods, we will utilize that type of activity in class. I typically use many types of activities to help with memorization and communication in a language. Students can then select the ways which seem to assist them the most.
