"Hello, My name is Laura Ray. I graduated with a master's degree in education. I love teaching all ages - preschool to adult. I especially like to help students with their homework. Teaching tips and tricks to better understanding of English reading and writing, grammar, and phonics is my priority. I also teach basic drawing.

I believe children want to learn. I understand children have short attention spans, so I know I need to provide information quickly and teach them tips and tricks that they understand. I have successfully helped students improve their grades by understanding their homework. I also help students improve their reading by understanding phonics and grammar concepts.

I also teach illustration drawing and can help you and your children understand step-by-step procedures to drawing their favorite animals, people, and technical concepts such as perspective.

I am a certified ESL/ESOL teacher. I am serious about advancing my ESL/ESOL students to understanding English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. When a student makes a mistake, I explain the concept, so they can consciously improve their English. I also assess and begin lessons at the student's level of English. Often, a student is more advanced than the student realizes. I will note the concepts the student already knows in order to give the student confidence of their abilities. I can help with study skills related to the IELTS, TOEFL, and USCIS tests.

I have experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD and can provide accommodations for an excellent learning experience.
