Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked in the private sector for 20 years, my final position as VP of Sales & Marketing for an online publisher of consumer-oriented insurance content in West Hartford, CT. Those 20 years of small business through Fortune 500 employment gave me a unique and valuable perspective on what I was helping to prepare my students for - a life and career beyond school. During my 15 years of teaching, I helped countless reluctant readers and struggling writers develop and improve upon the strategies and skills they need to be successful in the classroom and prepare for life beyond school.

As your child's English Language Arts tutor, I will help them succeed in all their classes. After all, they have to understand what they read in every class, including the questions and prompts they encounter, and I will help them respond to those questions and prompts with cohesive and coherent writing.
