"As an elementary teacher, I had the opportunity to teach all subjects. However, my love is Reading and Writing. Being at a school that was departmentalized afforded me with the great luxury of teaching Writing all day!

Seeing students express themselves through storytelling or connecting to a character is the ultimate reward.

I am EC-4 certified with a minor in Reading.

I taught third grade for 5 years and 4th grade for 2 years. I have seen the transition from TAKS to STAAR, and I have seen the changes within the assessment over the years.

I am a certified School Counselor. This makes me very goal oriented and carries over to my students. The first thing we do is set a goal and come up with a plan to reach it. Study skills are all about goal setting.
