"I taught English in Japan for five years. I have been teaching ESL to adults in Santa Clara County over 25 years. For speakers of other languages, I know how to deal with communication barriers due to limited vocabulary, difficult pronunciation or low confidence level. I taught 3 subjects for the Campbell Union High School District: Japanese, Drama and English. I have tutored elementary school, middle school and high school students in reading (for fluency and comprehension), writing, math, history, Spanish and Japanese. I have tutored adults and children through Wyzant for the past 10 years. All of this experience enables me to work with students of all ages in a multitude of subjects.
