"Since receiving a Master of Education degree from Boston University, I have taught writing, composition, and English as a second language for the past thirty years at top U.S. universities, including Boston University, Northeastern University, DePaul University, and the University of Illinois. In 1992, I started teaching non-native speakers of English at Boston University, most with the goal of attending U.S. universities. My work has always focused on giving students the tools they need to succeed in reaching their academic goals and in getting admitted to the colleges of their dreams.

For the past eight years I have worked, as well, with U.S. high school and college students preparing college application essays, working on writing assignments (including research paper formatting), writing resumes for internships or research positions, as well as preparing essays for scholarship applications. I have also continued my work teaching English to non-native speakers. I teach because I love to connect with people. I teach language because language helps to bring people together. By teaching language (whether it be writing, grammar, research skills, speaking, or presentation skills) I can be the conduit for students to expand their horizons. A clear expression of language is fluid, ever changing, and challenging.
